MESSI VS RONALDO

Whenever there is a match between Barcelona and Real Madrid, then always there is a clash between Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Everyone asks me who is better Messi or Ronaldo?...
and I always answer both are the best.
But this is a post regarding my views about Messi and Ronaldo.

1.FINISHING

Messi is left footed and scores most of his goals on that side.he is outstanding in one-on-ones and capable on subtle dink over an advanced goalkeeper.it is hard to see fault in Messi's finishing.
Unlike Messi, Ronaldo is right footed but he can also scores from his weaker side.
He can be guilty of profligacy but his goals speak for him.

MESSI : 9    RONALDO : 8.5

2.FREE KICKS

It will be difficult to say who is best free kick taker. Both the players scored many goals with free kicks.
Messi's free kicks are more about finesse than brute force. While Ronaldo is capable of curving free kicks. He uses the technique of striking the ball on valve to get more power and movement.

 MESSI : 9    RONALDO :9

3.FINISHING WITH HEAD

Messi have rarely seen to score a goal with his head.his memorably head goal was against Manchester United in the Champions League finals in 2009. Most of his goals come from his left foot.
Ronaldo scores more goals with his head than Messi. Ronaldo height favors him a lot to take header than Messi. He manages to apply more power to his header.

 MESSI : 6    RONALDO :8.5

4.DRIBBLING & CONTROLLING

From my point of view Messi is an extraordinary dribbler & no one can better in the world. His quick feet and balance made him best dribbler. he is not strongest but quickest and has ability to beat every defender.
Ronaldo's control is generally excellent but he depends on his pace to beat the defender. His skills like step-over is followed by many players & this skill helps him to beat opponent repeatedly.

 MESSI : 10    RONALDO :9

5.TEAM PLAY

Presently, both Messi and Ronaldo are the captain of their national teams.
Messi is more successful in club than his national team because his chemistry with Xavi and Iniesta is a beauty and no one can claims Messi doesn't work hard or combine well with his team mates.
I think Ronaldo is little bit selfish and obsessed while playing for a team. He has an ability to shoot from different and difficult angles but he has better opinion to pass his team mates to score a goal, instead of scoring his goal.

 MESSI : 9    RONALDO :7

6. GOAL STATS

MESSI

2009-10
MATCHES - 64

2010-11

MESSI : 10    RONALDO :10

TOTAL: MESSI= 53/60 RONALDO= 52/60

I THINK MESSI IS EDGE BETTER THAN RONALDO.
For me both the players are best. The analysis can never judge the player. The best player is one who perform best in the field for the victory of the team.

GOLDEN ERA OF INDIAN FOOTBALL

INDIA AGAINST FRANCE 1948

Indian football team current Fifa ranking is 166th. After seeing the current Indian football ranking it's hard to believe that was Indian football golden era. But the period of 1951 to 1962 was considered to be a golden era of Indian football. This post is about the Golden era of Indian football that has been lost in today's Indian football.

INDIAN TEAM 1956 OLYMPICS

The period from 1951 to 1962 is considered the golden era in Indian football. Under the tutelage of legendary Syed Abdul Rahim India became the best team in Asia. The Indian team started the 1950s with victory in the 1951 Asian Games which they hosted. India beat both Indonesia and Afghanistan 3–0 to reach the final where they beat Iran 1–0.

INDIAN TEAM 1960 OLYMPICS

In 1952, India continued their form by winning the Colombo Quadrangular Cup held in Sri Lanka. Later that year they went on to participate in the 1952 Olympics, but lost 10–1 to Yugoslavia in the Preliminary Round.

India also won three further editions of the Quadrangular Cup, which were held in Burma, Calcutta and Dhaka in 1953, 1954 and 1955 respectively. India then went on to finish second in the 1954 Asian Games held in Manila.

At the 1956 Olympics they finished fourth, which is regarded as one of finest achievements in Indian football. India first met hosts Australia, winning 4–2 with Neville D'Souza becoming the first Asian to score a hatrick in the Olympics and also making India the first Asian team to reach the Olympic semi-finals. They lost 4–1 to Yugoslavia, and lost the third place play-off match 3–0 to Bulgaria.

INDIAN TEAM FOR JAKARTA ASIAN GAMES
India participated in the 1958 Asian Games in Tokyo, Japan where they finished fourth, and the Merdeka Cup 1959 in Malaysia finishing second. The side started off 1960 with Asian Cup qualifiers in which they failed to qualify.
India went to the Asian Games in Jakarta and won the gold medal, defeating a South Korea side they had lost to in the opening phase. In PK Banerjee, Chuni Goswami, Peter Thangaraj and Jarnail Singh, India had some of Asia's finest players of that era and two years later finished second in the 1964 Asian Cup which was held in round-robin format.
India played in the Merdeka Cup in 1964, 1965 and 1966 where they finished 2nd, 3rd and 3rd respectively.

After having a good past in football, should think for a better future,& for that should make our present good. It's our duty to promote football. We should at least participate in every football tournaments & encourage youngsters to play football. Our aim is to participate in Worldcup-2022 and we should train players from grass root level.

INDIA POOR PERFORMANCE AFTER WC-2011

On 2nd April 2011,INDIA won the world cup after three decades defeating Srilanka in the finals and I think from here Team India lost their focus and faced disastrous performance. This blog is about the downhill journey of INDIAN CRICKET TEAM.

The members of the World Cup-winning team could properly celebrate that title triumph, which has come after 28 long years, they were off to the West Indies for a Test and One-day International (ODI) series. From the Caribbean they went straight to England, where began a long series of defeats in Test cricket and abysmal overseas record continues
unabated.

The performance of Indian team is deteriorating due to which Indian team have failed to win a single Teat abroad or a single major tournament abroad.
It was 21st July 2011 team India had a tour against England & it was one of the humiliating tours of team India. Dhoni's side was whitewash 0-4 to the English in test series and that was followed by a loss in one-off T-20 and a 0-3 thrashing defeat in ODI series. After this series,Indian team lost the respect that they had gained after being crowning WORLD CHAMPIONS 2011.

Then later Dhoni's side get some relief as they beat the ENGLAND 5-0 in ODIs,when they toured INDIA & that was followed by an easy win against WEST INDIES poor side in both test (2-0) & ODI series (4-1).
The real test was to come in Australia & some called it that India's best chance to gain same reputation like after the victory of World cup but shockingly,it was worse than England.Dhoni's side lost all the test matches 0-4 & LOST BORDER- GAVASKAR TROPHY. India managed to tie T-20 series 1-1 but failed to reach the finals of COMMONWEALTH BANK SERIES.

After this,India's performance went down and down as they were unable to reach in the finals of ASIA CUP. BANGLADESH beat India by which India failed to qualify in the finals.
After a long break new season began,Team India got a bit of good news as they beat SRI LANKA 4-1 in 5 match series & followed by winning Test series against NEW ZEALAND & SRILANKA TOUR.

And then,ICC T-20 WORLD CUP came where INDIA failed to reach semi-finals as they fell short of required Net Run-Rate. Embarrassed India's next series was against ENGLAND & PAKISTAN. People called the England series as "BADLE KI SERIES" but DHONI's boys were unable to take revenge from English side & England team beat India 2-1 in four match series. Later India managed to tied T-20s against England & Pakistan 1-1 but India's worst performance continued against Pakistan too & lost the ODI series 2-1.

Now some questions arise that why Indian team is performing like this?
What are the reasons behind this?
Why selectors don't select best team?
Is Dravid, Laxman retirement in Test cricket reason for this?
Is there no replacement for Sachin?
